Job Description Audit Manager (Job ID 0001)

Responsibilities

  1. Execute the day-to-day activities of attestation and non-attestation engagements of various clients
  2. Detect and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Partners and Directors
  3. Identify performance improvement opportunities
  4. Interact with clients to ensure efficient information flow from the client to the team and vice versa
  5. Develop client proposals, presentations, and other client related documents
  6. Play an active role in the management and supervision of the personnel within the audit practice
  7. Collaborate with the Tax team to maintain quality services to our clients
  8. Understand and utilize Audit Methodology
  9. Work on non-attestation services such as bookkeeping, miscellaneous tax (property tax, sales tax etc.), payroll, M&A, human resource, and some other consulting services
  10. Supervise and train Audit senior, Audit staffs, and interns on engagements
  11. Continue to enhance accounting, audit, and tax knowledge through self-training
  12. Monitor the current business trend and circumstances related to our clients
  13. Seek new business opportunities by attending business seminars, events and participating in speaking engagement
  14. Assist Management in establishing new footprint for the company such as new offices, new practices, etc.
  15. Proactive in providing constructive feedback to all personnel

Qualifications

  1. 5 to 8 years of current and/or recent audit experience in public accounting
  2. Must have active CPA license
  3. Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  4. Demonstrated supervisory experience for at least two years
  5. Ability to non-attestation services such as bookkeeping, miscellaneous tax (property tax, sales tax etc.), payroll, M&A, human resource, and some other consulting services
  6. Ability and willingness to travel
  7. Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  9. Japanese language skill is a bonus

Audit Staff (Job ID 0003)

Responsibilities

  1. Execute the day-to-day activities of attestation and non-attestation engagements of various clients
  2. Detect and communicate accounting and auditing matters to seniors, managers, and partners
  3. Identify performance improvement opportunities
  4. Intermingle with U.S. and Japanese based clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
  5. Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the team is efficient
  6. Work on non-attestation services such as bookkeeping, miscellaneous tax (property tax, sales tax etc.), payroll, and some other consulting services
  7. Understand and utilize Audit Methodology

Qualifications

  1. BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university and eligible to sit for the CPA exam
  2. Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and solid oral and written communication skills
  3. Ability to follow instructions as directed
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
  6. Ability to non-attestation services such as bookkeeping
  7. Ability and willingness to travel
  8. Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  10. Japanese language skill is a bonus

Tax Manager (Job ID 0004)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance for corporate and individual clients
  2. Support cross-border tax matters, including Japan–U.S. coordination
  3. Review tax returns and work papers prepared by staff
  4. Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
  5. Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors
  6. Identify tax planning opportunities and support advisory projects
  7. Support tax due diligence for M&A transactions, including review of tax exposures, transaction structuring considerations, and related diligence workstreams
  8. Lead business development initiatives, including identifying new client opportunities, developing relationships, and generating new business for the firm
  9. Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and internal controls are met
  10. Japanese language capability is a plus

Qualifications

  1. CPA preferred, or in progress
  2. 5–10+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in public accounting
  3. Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and individual taxation
  4. Experience with international or cross-border tax matters preferred
  5. Experience with tax due diligence, M&A transactions, or transaction advisory services is a strong plus
  6. Demonstrated ability to support business development efforts and generate new client opportunities preferred
  7. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  8. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Tax Senior (Job ID 0005)

Responsibilities

  1. Accurately preparing and filing federal and state tax returns in a timely manner
  2. Developing tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant
  3. Identifying tax problems and developing solutions
  4. Completing responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits
  5. Monitoring developments in tax legislation
  6. Reviewing tax returns
  7. Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation
  8. Work on non-attestation services such as bookkeeping, miscellaneous tax (property tax, sales tax etc.), payroll, M&A, human resource, and some other consulting services
  9. Supervising members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly
  10. Building and maintaining relationships with clients

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of two years of current and/or recent experience in corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax consulting
  2. CPA or parts passed required or EA license
  3. Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, and solid oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  4. Strong technical skills in tax compliance and tax research
  5. Manage develop and mentor staff, assisting with professional growth and development of staff
  6. Ability to non-attestation services such as bookkeeping, miscellaneous tax (property tax, sales tax etc.), payroll, M&A, human resource, and some other consulting services
  7. Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  9. Japanese language skill is a bonus
